Monitoring the quality of cleaning

TOUCHGUARD
TOUCHGUARD was originally developed as an online Patrols system for security agencies and fully meets their needs. Thanks to its advanced features, the system is now also used by cleaning agencies, facility companies (building management and maintenance), service technology organizations and companies with positions with a higher risk of injury (Lone workers protection).

Monitoring the quality of cleaning

How does it work?

To monitor the quality of cleaning via the TOUCHGUARD app, all that is required is a mobile phone with Android OS, NFC tags as checkpoints, or iBeacons (bluetooth transmitters) and internet access.

Online Patrol system with additional features can be used if the customer requires more accurate reporting. This includes, for example, the Tasks function for entering extraordinary or planned tasks or Forms for reporting on completed work or incidents.

The mobile device with TOUCHGUARD app can be completely manage remotly. The Mobile Terminal user can only use what the administrator sets via the web interface, e.g. allowing only selected system functions, calling or sending SMS. Phone settings can´t be changed without the administrator’s permission, neither can non-work related applications be used.

The progress of the cleaning work can be monitored online via the web interface in a web browser (no need to install anything) or via PCO.

Automatic reports – the system allows to generate and send reports in PDF or CSV report formats on a scheduled basis, or it is possible to use REST API for communication with third-party systems.

Key system features

  • KPI – The system can be set up to monitor and evaluate the performance of individual employees.
  • Patrols with automatic evaluation – completely transparent for the end customer. A PDF report can be generated directly from the system and is much more reliable than a spreadsheet report which can be easily edited. The Patrol parameters can be set individually.
  • Checkpoints are non-contact. Instead to NFC tags, it is also possible to use a variant with iBeacons, which can be read from a distance of several meters without having to take the phone out of your pocket.
  • Tasks are divided into several types One-time tasks for the cleaning service (e.g., refilling hygiene supplies at the request of a hotel guest), repeating tasks (e.g. clean within 6 hours of the last cleaning) or scheduled tasks (e.g. regular monthly cleaning).
  • Electronic forms are used for reporting unexpected events. From the location of the incident, which includes GPS coordinates, it is possible to send a photo, write a comment or select an event category, based on which the system automatically informs only those persons responsible for a specific area.
  • Attendance is used to record the arrivals/departures of all employees of the building. The work shift function can automatically monitor that the required number of people are present on a shift.
  • The Daily occurence Book contains all events from the location that can be commented on. This creates a comprehensive report of what is happening at the location and can completely replace the paper form of D.O.B.

What devices does this work on?

We recommend durable devices

Based on years of experience, we recommend the use of rugged phones. We can offer you phones from German manufacturer RugGear®.

For cleaning services, it is useful that the mobile phone used is resistant to water, dust and other dirt. For example, the phone shouldn’t shut down or be damaged in any significant way if dropped, which is the case with most commonly used phones.

Unlike commercially available mobile phones, these devices come with very practical accessories. In combination with Lone Worker can increase employee safety.
