Online Patrols

TOUCHGUARD

TOUCHGUARD was originally developed as an online Patrols system for security agencies and fully meets their needs. Thanks to its advanced features, the system is now also used by cleaning agencies, facility companies (building management and maintenance), service technology organizations and companies with positions with a higher risk of injury (protection of lone workers).

How does it work?

To operate the TOUCHGUARD online Patrols system is only needed a moblie phone with Android OS, NFC tags as the checkpoints and internet connection

A mobile phone differs from other single-purpose device in that it has broader possibilities of use, therefore through the TOUCHGUARD application it is possible to run patrols, send photos, GPS tracking (position tracking on the map), fill in forms, call and send SMS only to permitted phone numbers, thanks to the accelerometer to detect the location of the phone and thus protect the worker (Lone Worker Protection System) atd. It is possible to use selected third-party applications – various communicators, e-mail client, applications for connection to CCTV systems, etc.

Our solution

The phone can be completely manage remotly. The phone user can only use options that the administrator sets up through the web interface. For example, permission to use only selected functions of the system, calls, SMS. Phone settings can´t be changed without the administrator’s permission, neither can non-work related applications be used.

Our Apps for Android OS download here.

The process of the security guard’s work can be monitored online through the web interface in a web browser (no need to install anything) or via PCO.

Automatic reports – the output from the system is in the form of PDF or CSV reports that can be sent on a scheduled basis, for example after the end of a shift.

Complete remote phone management – as part of the TOUCHGUARD PREMIUM service, we allow you to completely manage your phones remotely using the SafeUEM software. Apps can be automatically kept up-to-date without the need for any user intervention.

What devices does this work on?

We recommend durable devices

We support almost all phones with Android 5.1 and above. The second necessary condition is the NFC function, which we use to load checkpoints.

Based on years of experience, we recommend the use of rugged phones. We can offer you phones from German manufacturer RugGear® for standard environments and ecom (A Pepperl+Fuchs Brand) for explosive environments (ATEX) up to Zone 1.

Unlike commercially available mobile phones, these devices come with very practical accessories that help improve worker location detection.

Key system features

  • Patrols with automatic evaluation – completely transparent for the end customer. The reports come in PDF format directly from the system and this is much more trustworthy than a spreadsheet report which can be easily edited. Patrol parameters can be set individually. It is possible to evaluate the execution of the patrol (visiting all checkpoints), the fulfillment of tasks and also the duration of the patrol.
  • Checkpoints are non-contact, passive (no power required) NFC tags. Instead of NFC chips, it is also possible to use a variant of iBeacony, which can be read from a distance of several meters without having to take the phone out of a pocket.
  • Forms are used for reporting unexpected events. From the location of the incident, which includes GPS coordinates, it is possible to send a photo, write a comment, or select an event category, based on which the system automatically informs only those responsible for a specific area.
  • Attendence account is used to record the arrivals/departures of all building staff. The shift scheduling function can be used to automatically monitor that the required number of people are present on a shift. If the worker doesn’t show up on time or at all, the system immediately sends a notification to the responsible persons.
  • KPIotherwise key performance indicators are used to automatically evaluate the number of events. For example, the number of patrols per day, the number of errors per month, the start of a patrol within a certain time, etc. Activities that usually had to be calculated manually can be automatized.
  • Log (Daily Occurence Book) contains all events from the object/building that can be commented. D.O.B. creates a comprehensive report of what is happening at the object/building and it can completely replace the paper version of operation book.
  • Daily Occurence Book replaces the operation book. It can be used to log all events on the object/building. Events from the D.O.B. can be connected to forms created in the mobile app.
